1986 to 1991:

Vice-President, Tennessee Underwriters, Inc., an Excess and Surplus Lines insurance managing general agency.  Insurance marketing and underwriting. Working contacts with independent insurance agents as well as underwriters at Lloyds of London and other foreign and domestic insurance carriers.

 

1985 to 1986:

Owner and President of Progress Unlimited, a management, sales training and personal development company.  Business training and seminar presentations, primarily in the Insurance Industry.

 

1984 to 1985:

Secretary R & H Service Corporation, an insurance advisory company under contract with the Tennessee State Department of Commerce and Insurance.  Staff supervision and support of the rehabilitator of Cherokee Insurance Company. Attorney assistance regarding all aspects of insurance company operations.

 

1979 to 1984:

Senior Vice President, Secretary and Member of Board of Directors, Cherokee Insurance Company, a Property and Casualty insurance carrier operating throughout the United States.  Various administrative duties. Interact with state insurance departments for approval of company licensing and insurance policy forms.  Intercession with out-of-state parent corporation.  Reinsurance program negotiations and implementation.

 

1973 to 1979:

Underwriting Vice President, Cherokee Insurance Company.  Training and oversight of Property and Casualty insurance underwriting staff. Formulate and implement underwriting policies and procedures.

 

1955 to 1973:

Underwriting of multiple lines Property and Casualty insurance business and agency accounting, Cherokee Insurance Company.  Reconciliation of agents’ accounts; training in Property and Casualty insurance with on-the-job underwriting experience.
